Kforce has partnered with a growing company that is looking for an Assistant . This person will be providing day-to-day management of the purchasing, fulfillment and payables processes for assigned commodities.Principle duties and responsibilities:
Supporting and/or managing the supplier selection process for specified commodities in a strategic manner, at the best possible price consistent with acceptable quality standards, quantity and reliability of the supplierEnsuring the day-to-day contract administration and oversight for all negotiated suppliersHeavy involvement in the pre and post award proposalsSuccessful development and maintenance of supplier relationshipsOverall management of the purchasing process for assigned commodities within the purchase order systemDevelopment of the financial forecasting models for assigned commoditiesSuccessfully coaching/mentoring of assigned expeditorsAdditional assigned special projects throughout the organization as neededThe skills, experience, and education required for this position include the following:
Bachelor of Science is required; an MBA is preferred1+ years of purchasing experience as either an Assistant Buyer or ExpeditorExperience managing the day-to-day operational purchasing processCertificates, Licenses, Registrations:
Candidate must be a member of the Institute of Supply Management (ISM)Ability Requirements:
Possess strong analytical, decision-making, negotiation, interpersonal and customer-service skillsBroad knowledge of standardized purchasing practices and proceduresStrong operational knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)Ability to respond and succinctly interact with coworkers, administrative staff and outside vendorsAbility to utilize advanced analytic/predictive modeling capabilities and expertise utilizing inferential statistics (Such as variance analysis, benchmarking and multi-variate regression) to deliver business resultsApply for this job
