Completion of a Paralegal course of study from an institution recognized by the American Bar Association (ABA). An Associate's Degree in Paralegal Studies or similar program is preferred. ¦ Required Experience:
None required; but experience working in a law office or legal environment is preferred. ¦ Required Certification(s):
Paralegal Certification from an agency or association recognized by the American Bar Associate (ABA). ¦ Required Skills & Abilities:

Job Summary:
Under direct supervision, applies a knowledge of legal concepts and processes to assist in the efficient operation of the legal department. Job Duties and Responsibilities:
¦ Conduct legal research and fact gathering interviews with clients and/or witnesses; provide statistical analysis and documentary research. ¦ Draft simple legal documents, correspondences, pleadings; record judicial decisions, legal articles, treaties, constitutions, legal codes to prepare documents; summarize depositions, interrogatories, and testimonies; and maintain and update case files. ¦ Monitor case schedules and filing deadlines; ensure the assigned attorney is aware of his/her schedule and any changes made; monitor case developments. ¦ Attend court hearings and other meetings as requested or required. ¦ May resolve routine legal issues. ¦ May provide general administrative support (i.e., make copies, draft letters/memos, and order supplies); process outside attorney fee invoices; maintain the forms library. ¦ Performs other related duties as assigned.
