FREDRICKSBURG, VA Basic Function:
Responsible for working with the senior citizen population to originate reverse mortgages - FHA, HECM (Home Equity Conversion Mortgages) and participates in related business development activities. Responsibilities:
Maximize your earning potential through an attractive incentive plan that rewards your sales performance. Solicits reverse mortgages through contacts with elder law attorneys, senior based community organizations, office of the aging, banks, credit unions, mortgage companies that do not offer this reverse mortgage product and local tax receivers. Interviews applicants to develop information concerning their needs, desires, and to assist in determining whether a reverse mortgage is an appropriate option. Discuss and review the terms and conditions of the reverse mortgage with the seniors. Keeps informed of trends and developments in the reverse mortgage industry, as well as the changing rules and regulations pertaining to reverse mortgage products. Calls on potential or existing customers as assigned to develop new business or retain existing business. The incumbent works under general supervision. The position requires extensive external contacts (with the senior citizen population in their geographic region), as well as internal contacts (other Bank personnel). Minimum Qualifications:
Sales background, or equivalent in work experience. General knowledge of personal computers and software programs. Proven sales ability. Good mathematical skills. Ability to interact with senior citizen population at all income levels and peers in a professional manner. Demonstrated ability to work independently and to follow through on details to completion. Willingness to spend over 80% of week on sales calls outside office.
