Minnesota-Marshall Performs legal and regulatory research and analysis for attorneys. Prepares various legal documents. Prepares subpoenas, depositions, and records. Prepares disposition, trial, and hearing instruments. Reviews Federal, State, and Local rules concerning procedure. Documents regulatory and compliance issues and files related regulatory reports. Collects data and prepares reports. Prepares correspondence to clients, counsel, and courts. May appear in court as an expert witness on behalf of the organization regarding our records. This paralegal position is responsible for documentation legal review and drafting of lease agreements, addendums, indemnifications and other ancillary lease documentation. Additional duties include coordination of documentation training, reviewing competitor's documents, landlord waivers, cross-offs/changes to our documents, trade name registrations, motor vehicle leasing licenses, and Portfolio Services Back-up servicing documentation review. Basic Qualifications - Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience - Paralegal/Legal Assistant certificate from an accredited program - Six months to two years of experience in legal documentation activities Preferred Skills/Experience - Effective verbal and written communication skills - Ability to manage multiple tasks/projects and deadlines simultaneously - Ability to perform research and analysis - General knowledge of legal and regulatory issues - Good organizational skills and attention to detail
