Minnesota-Minneapolis The person hired for this position will be responsible for locating, validating, correcting and updating account holders contact information by using electronic resources and tools. The Skip Tracer will ensure queue strategy is in place to allow for 100% penetration of worklist weekly. Responsible for conducting outbound calls to verify the contact information found is accurate. Once contact has been made with the account holder, normal collection effort will be completed. Collection efforts will entail collecting payments on assigned, delinquent accounts by reviewing documentation, contacting customers/clients by telephone and/or written correspondence, and arranging repayment schedules in order to minimize loss to the organization. - High school diploma or equivalent - One to two years of experience in skip tracing,collections and/or customer service activities - Skilled in using Internet search tools and other resources - Basic PC (Windows Operating System) and key board skills Preferred Skills/Experience:
- Good knowledge of loan collection policies and procedures, fair debt collection practices, and related laws - Strong customer service/relations skills - Ability to identify and resolve exceptions and to organize and interpret information - Good organizational skills - Detail oriented - Effective time management skills - Ability to work independently - Good verbal and written communication skills
