Virtual Summary and Role Requirement The project manager plans, schedules, directs, and monitors data warehouse implementations in the Communications, Media and Entertainment (CME) industry ensuring delivery of high quality solutions. The senior project manager may lead a large, complex engagement, or oversee multiple smaller engagements with full-time project managers in place. Senior project managers will lead large, complex data warehouse implementations, or possibly multiple smaller projects. In their role, the project manager will:
â?¢ ensure projects are completed on-time, within budget, and within customer expectations of quality and functionality. â?¢ manage customer acceptance of the solution, ensuring customer expectations stay in line with the agreed statement of work; senior project managers will manage day-to-day relationship with client engagement sponsor; taking the lead in working through all issues. â?¢ play lead role in scoping, planning, costing, and pricing new projects; responsible for statement of work development and risk assessments. â?¢ manage and report resource performance, including contractors; senior project managers will also build a project team. â?¢ ensure proper set up of the engagement in the time keeping system, ensuring consultants and contractors are always current with their reported time entry. Experience Prerequisites (For Recruiting Purposes) Years Experience 10 plus in Information Technology (or equivalent) Previous Work Experience Experience on project management, leading teams, managing cross functional teams composed of vendor and client personnel, contract development and negotiation, recovering projects that have incurred problems, software and application development using various development methodologies, data warehouse implementations, logical data modeling, physical data modeling, performance tuning, data base administration, architecture, requirements, analysis, design, testing and implementation and rollout, and end user training. Preferred Professional Certification George Washington University / ESI Project Management Masters Certificate, PMI â?"
