Job Description SAP Practice Director- Energy/Utility Vertical Goal:
The goal of this position is to lead Siemens into a more significant position in the SAP consulting and project-based services business in North America through organic growth. This leadership position will profitably grow our local capabilities and leverage our substantial, global SAP consulting footprint (2,600 consultants world-wide) while maintaining a reasonable level of risk. Today's US revenue in SAP consulting overall is ~28M/year. Role & Responsibilities 1. This new position would report to the Vice President, SAP (Professional Services) delivery organization. 2. This position will be responsible for project management & execution, resource management, customer management and building an Industry based portfolio and delivery capability to grow the business. In addition this position would also have the responsibility for supporting Sales, Pre-sales & the Engagement group in deal acquisition, solution design and SOW related activities. 3. This role will have significant visibility within Siemens IT Solutions and Services as it will be making investments to grow the strategically important SAP consulting business within the North American market under a senior leadership mandate. Requirements of the position 1. History running a profitable SAP consulting practice with at least $25M in annual revenue 2. Good relationships with SAP America to drive 'sell with' opportunity development and 'sell-to' business 3. Strong Utility/Energy industry and process experience. Candidate has performed at least 3 large SAP implementations/projects in the Utility/Energy industry. 4. Must have 5+ years of relevant Energy and Utility industry experience. Candidate must have knowledge of SMI. 5. Communication skills to work with global SAP practice leadership to use available global project talent, deal teams, and SAP/client relationships. 6. Understands the SAP Consulting business and what it takes to close business with North American corporate accounts with revenue over $1 billion. 7. Understands what it takes to differentiate an SAP practice in an industry vertical market in both intellectual property and key delivery talent. Can collaborate with the global Siemens team to bring innovation to the US market Compensation would be commensurate with skills and experience, and fall within our range for a Senior Director.
