Entertainment Group WB Business Unit MIS Industry Film Production and Distribution Location United States - California - Burbank Requisition # 115104BR Position Type Full Time Posting Job Description SUMMARY OF POSITION The Sr. Process & Business Analysis (SPBA) is position is responsible for providing advanced complex business systems analysis services for DC Comics' business unit applications in Burbank, CA. The SPBA is the primary liaison between the business community, technology organization and external partners for all project requirements during the analysis phase of a project. He or she is responsible for proactively conducting interviews with all project stakeholders to elicit functional requirements, modeling those requirements in an organized manner, then managing and communicating those requirements throughout the project life cycle. Upon establishment of the requirements baseline, he or she will address change management issues and assist in test planning. This position must have complete familiarity with the technologies and applications available to Warner Bros., and an in-depth understanding of the business and SDLC. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES * Owns the synthesized view of the overall Business Process Solution. * Along with the CRM the SPBA conducts functional impact analysis for new system capabilities and for changes to existing capabilities. * Participate in the evaluation and prioritization for process improvements and Assist in the development of the Business Blueprint process design. * Define and document processes and functional business requirements. * Conducts application design sessions and moderates other discussions as necessary. * Translates business requirements to technical staff to ensure that requirements are incorporated into system design and prepares functional design specifications and prototypes. * Interacts with system architects and developers to ensure business system features are properly implemented. * Reviews process designs for process measurement KPIs and ownership of each KPI (Business User or MIS). * Develops business scenarios for testing, and reviews Test Plans with a focus on Integration, Regression and User Acceptance testing. * Serves as the functionality expert while actively participating in testing, training, and user documentation development. * Reviews and reports dashboards to gauge process and end user productivity. JOB REQUIREMENTS * Undergraduate degree desired. * Minimum of 5 years experience working in an IT or associated technical role. * Entertainment industry experience is desirable with a focus on Publishing Operations, Digital content creation and management and Royalties/Participations accounting and management. * Working in a multi-labor work environment that includes internal and out-sourced resources is a plus. * Fluent in the appropriate tools and techniques for analyzing, reporting, forecasting and developing "what-if" analysis of business operations. * Understanding of the strategies of specific industries or segments in which DC Comics conducts business. * Experience with Navision, and SAP Financials, Filmed Entertainment and/or Publishing operations is preferred. * Ability to apply knowledge of data analysis elements and workflow to client's business and describe how data analysis relates to other related industry functions as well as its impact on clients' strategic objectives. * Skilled in the basic concepts and terminology of common system quality control programs (i.e., defect elimination, cycle time reduction, and incremental improvement) and applies these concepts to developing quality requirements, programs and actions. * Thorough understanding of the life cycle of specific systems and their various stages. * Solid understanding of the client's business needs, the operational constraints in which the solution must operate; ability to translate these into reliability, availability, and capacity requirements. * Thorough understanding of the concepts of a functional decomposition for a software project and how it may be incorporated into the requirements phase of a project. Ability to divide the system into operational components as the user sees them and defines all the system characteristics from the user's perspective. * Excellent professional and written/verbal communications skills; well-developed negotiation skills in order to successfully at bridge gaps between users and developers. * Strong understanding of the entertainment and IT cultures. * Must have the ability to communicate effectively and tactfully with persons on all levels. * Must be able to reason through issues and resolve problems. * Must be a team player. * Must be flexible. * Must be detail-oriented. * Must have excellent time management skills to perform in a fast-paced, high pressure, high volume environment. * Must be able to manage multiple concurrent tasks, and work with constant interruptions. * Must be able to maintain confidentiality. * Must be willing to travel.
