Ohio-Dayton The Sr. Financial Analyst performs analytical and/or financial functions including financial analysis which may impact multiple functional areas. This position deals with issues of complexity which require decision making, creative solutions, and plans/coordinates and schedules individuals and/or team efforts. Accountabilities 1. Gathers, interprets and analyzes information. 2. Prepares and analyzes schedules, reports or journal entries. 3. Performs and occasionally leads special projects as assigned. 4. Identifies underlying, potential or complex problem areas and makes recommendations to appropriate levels of management and assists with implementation. 5. Develops processes and implements improvements. 6. Directs efforts of others to assist in project completion. 7. In depth understanding of financial/accounting systems and software. Understands the roles and relationship of organizational units and processes. * Requires BA/BS, Accounting/Finance; MBA or certification preferred, i.e. CMA, CFA or CPA. Individuals without a degree should demonstrate equivalent abilities and skill sets. * Requires 4-6 years experience of substantial diverse financial analysis and accounting. * Requires advanced personal computer skills including spreadsheets, query and database management programs.
