But more than speed, we focus our energies on accuracy. Currently, we seek aSenior Accountant. Basic Purpose:
Responsible for the more complex activities associated with maintaining general ledgeraccounts and the development of financial statements and reports in accordance withaccounting policies and procedures. This is the most senior skill level and may provideguidance to lower level accountants and/or clerks. Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Perform account reconciliation and analysis preparing adjusting journal entries as required. 2. Generate journal entries pertaining to assigned tasks. 3. Account for royalty obligations including contract review and interpretation, royalty computations, analysis and reporting. 4. Account for inventory including research and analysis of StockClerk and general ledger activity. 5. Provide support to the Manager of Financial Reporting in the budgeting process. 6. Generate and maintain financial reports. 7. Process information requests (i.e. year-end audit requests) from Corporate and department management. 8. Review account reconciliations prepared by the Accounting Coordinator II and Brazil Accountant. 9. Perform additional duties and assist with other projects upon request from management. Qualifications:
Education Preferred:
BS/BA degree in accounting. CPA certification desired. Work Experience:
A minimum of 4-6 years financial analysis in required. Special Requirements:
1. Demonstrated spreadsheet skills 2. Ability to work with a high degree of accuracy, especially under the pressure of month-end close. 3. Good oral and written communication skills.
