We are currently seeking aManager, 401k – Defined Contributions, located inMorristown, NJ, reporting to the Director, Benefits. In this role, you will manage the company’s qualified and non-qualified plans to insure compliance with regulations, and manage company’s record keeper and insure necessary annual reporting. Essential Job Functions:
This is not intended as a comprehensive list; it is intended to provide a representative summary of the major duties and responsibilities. Incumbent(s) may not be required to perform all duties listed, and may be required to perform additional, position-specific tasks. * Carries out responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies, procedures, and state, federal and local laws. * Assures that policies and procedures are administered and interpreted in a fair and consistent manner; adheres to personal performance and productivity standards established by HR management. * In conjunction with Director of Benefits, manages benefit consultants, service providers, administrators and carriers regarding the development, renewal, plan design, communication and administration of Watson’s 401(k) and Executive Deferred Compensation Plan (NQP). * Manages all related plan inquiries, issues resolution, vendor administration, plan changes where necessary. Answers 401(k) and NQP day-to-day employee questions. Suggests training opportunities where appropriate for HR team. * Ensures the 401(k) plan and deferred compensation plan are up-to-date with respect to regulatory changes and compliance. Routinely reviews external regulatory changes and makes recommendations for changes for either administrative, regulatory or enhancements to insure compliance and/or competitive positioning. * Manage the integration, merger divestiture and termination of retirement benefit plans and manages run out, of any plans, from acquired companies. * Manages all audits, including 401(k), 1165(e), SAP and vendor audits. * Manages all benefits reporting, including 5500s, with appropriate vendor. * Manages all 401(k) and NQP reporting and testing. * Ensure that all benefit plan documents, SPDs, SARs are current and distributed as necessary. * Works with Finance department and consultant on benefits reporting related to the administration of our 401(k) plan and deferred compensation plan. * Requests and compiles information for financial analysis reports and metrics reporting. * Analyzes reports to develop exhibits. * Completes surveys and utilizes survey data in recommending and assisting in the development of improved policies and plans regarding employee 401(k) or deferred compensation plans. * Continues to keep abreast of current legislation such as COBRA, HIPAA, Medicare, ERISA, etc. and its effect on employee benefits. * Responsible for year end benefits testing and reporting, SAP testing of configuration, validation and interfaces. * Assists Benefits management with special projects, such as open enrollment. * Performs related duties as assigned. Qualifications Knowledge of:
* Qualified and Non-Qualified Benefits program design and administration principles, practices and methods. * Contract terms and agreements relating to insurance plans and coverage. * Employee benefits laws and regulations. * Compliance regulations associated with qualified and non-qualified plans. * Business and personal computer hardware and software applications. * Human Resources Information Systems applications. * Business English usage, spelling, grammar and punctuation. * Current Company policies, practices and procedures, including safety rules and regulations. Skill in:
* Implementing goals, objectives and practices for effective, efficient and cost effective management of allocated resources. * Implementing goals, objectives and practices for effective, efficient and cost effective management of allocated resources. * Interpreting and applying Federal, state and local policies, procedures, laws and regulations pertaining to Human Resources and Benefits Administration. * Responding to inquiries or complaints from management, employees, regulatory agencies and members of the business community. * Communicating clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing. * Managing and prioritizing multiple projects, duties and assignments. * Establishing and maintaining cooperative working relationships with others. * Maintain confidentiality of data. Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
Incumbents in this class are subject to extended periods of sitting, standing and walking, vision to monitor, moderate noise levels and occasional business travel. Work is performed in an office environment. Education Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or related field and five (5) to seven (7) years Human Resources and Benefits Administration experience,preferably pharmaceutical environment; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
