Job Summary:
Prepares tissue specimens for microscopic examinations and handles the more specialized jobs involving histo- and immunocyto-chemistry for clinical patient diagnosis ; maintains adequate quality controls. Exemplifies leadership skills both within and outside the lab in regard to laboratory functions. Mentors all staff within the laboratory. High volume, stat requests, oncall rotation requirement. Process specimens/slides as required. Minimum Requirements:
This position requires an Associate's Degree and 60 months experience. Additional Information:
Busy clinical lab in Neuropathology is seeking a Senior Clinical Histotechnologist to prepare tissue specimens for microscopic examination, handle more specialized jobs involving histo- and immunocyto-chemistry for clinical patient diagnosis and maintain quality controls. Job responsibilities include managing work flow of lab, inspection preparation, lab protocols, training, QM, output data management, supervision (including performance evaluations) of other techs and perform histology. This is a full time position (40 hours per week)-Monday-Friday-On Call may be required. Salary is dependent upon education and experience. Background screens will be performed and education will be verified prior to employment. Please be prepared to provide required information and/or documentation. Experience may be substituted for education:
