Provides the best quality of service to Vanderbilt's hiring managers, internal transfers, and job candidates by developing, executing, and evaluating strategies for sourcing qualified candidates with the best skills and highest work ethic necessary to excel in their profession at Vanderbilt. Minimum Requirements:

* Excellent verbal and written communication skills * The ability to multi-task * Proficiency with Microsoft Office * Previous experience using a web-based applicant tracking system Key Functions and Expected Performances:
* Create and maintain a strong business relationship with hiring officials regarding the recruitment and hiring of staff for their department * Provide consultative advice to hiring officials regarding employment laws, federally mandated record keeping requirements, Affirmative Action standards, posting requirements and employment pre-screening requirements * Remain current and adaptable to changing policies, programs and market trends * Meet regularly with hiring officials to build and foster relationships, forecast needs, develop recruiting strategies and collaboratively determine that appropriate resources are being utilized to achieve short-term and long-term workforce needs related to business objectives * Professionally represent Vanderbilt within the community to promote Vanderbilt as an employer of choice and to attract potential candidates in local markets * Provide well reasoned salary recommendations as needed for new hires and transfers to assist hiring officials in recruiting the most qualified candidates * Assess job seekers qualifications and competencies in light of work experience, posted positions, basic qualifications and preferred requirements to determine the most appropriate candidate matches * Communicate with job seekers to provide feedback on application status often delivering sensitive, emotionally charged messages with tact and diplomacy, while preserving the dignity of the applicant and the reputation of Vanderbilt * Upon final selection facilitate pre-employment screening requirements and evaluate background check results against criteria for employment * Assist with the training of hiring officials on various Recruitment related topics Additional Job Information:
This is a full-time position (40 hours per week). Compensation range is $2,712 to $3,812 monthly; depending on years of education and experience. Background screens will be performed and must be approved prior to employment. Please be prepared to provide required information. Experience may be substituted for education. Basic qualification requirement on a 2:
1 basis (2 years of experience for each year of education required, but not attained) Vanderbilt is a smoke-free workplace in compliance with the Non-Smoker Protection Act, Tennessee Code Annotated 39-17-1801-1810.
