Performs tasks within the pharmacy in direct support of the ongoing duties and responsibilities of a pharmacist. Tasks performed contribute directly to the preparation and/or dispensing of a final dosage form for administration to a patient and are directly supervised by a pharmacist. Provides customer service by answering phone request and triages calls to the appropriate person if they cannot answer the requested information. Applies departmental processes regarding inventory control. Minimum Requirements:
This position requires High school diploma or GED, at least 6 months experience as a pharmacy technician, and National certification from CPHT Board. Additional Information:
The MCE Pharmacy is a retail pharmacy located on the Vanderbilt Medical Center campus that provides prescription services to Vanderbilt patients and employees. The Supervisor of the Medical Center East Pharmacy will be responsible for the daily operations of the MCE Pharmacy. The position is a member of the management team that provides patient-focused medication services to Vanderbilt patients and staff. The successful candidate will demonstrate their ability to effectively manage a retail pharmacy operation in a medical center environment through collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams, planning and executing pharmacy programs, budgeting, and communicating with pharmacy staff and management. This is a full time position in Vanderbilt Medical Center Pharmacy. Shift:
Salary Range:
$10.97-$15.18 an hour. Background screens will be performed and must be approved prior to employment. Please be prepared to provide required information.
