Education Position Summary:
The Program Coordinator is responsible for planning and implementing programs for the Education Department. Program Coordinators are responsible for supervising the on-site events and staff members of the programs. Job Responsibilities Include:
·Supervised assigned team of Faculty Advisors/Operation Team Members. ·Plan and produce Faculty Advisor/Operations Team training sessions and relevant training materials. ·Evaluate the quality of performance of the Faculty Advisors/Operations Team Members. ·Monitor student experiences including assisting students with questions, concerns and any special arrangements during the conference. ·Coordinate residential and meeting facility services. ·Serve as a liaison for vendors. ·Participate in curriculum brainstorming sessions and produce student materials. ·Conduct Faculty Advisor/Operations Team Member interviews. ·Conduct staff meetings for the Faculty Advisors/Operation Team during the program. ·Handle student discipline and emergency/crisis situations. ·Implement the program medical policy. ·Coordinate the arrival and departure of participants. ·Represent the organization in a professional manner to various audiences (participants, parents, vendors, speakers, supporting organizations, etc.). ·Coordinate and communicate program or team schedule of activities via use of calendar and other tools as appropriate. ·Demonstrate sound decision-making and problem solving skills for field-based situations (staff management, student issues, weather/event alterations, etc.). ·Provide recommendations for hiring temporary staff. **This is a full-time (40+ hrs/week), temporary position extending 4-5 months*** (dates vary depending on program placement). Requirements -At least one year of managerial, event planning or experiential education preferred. -Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science degree required. -Strong communication skills. -Detail oriented with ability to prioritize and work on various projects simultaneously. -Able to work extended days and hours as dictated by program needs. -Must be 21 years or older -Hold valid driver’s license with good driving background Email this job to a friend!
