NAME/LOCATION Customer Service/Kalispell EEO Category Office and Clerical FLSA STATUS Non-Exempt JOB FAMILY Administrative Support WRITTEN BY Cindy Carpenter DATE June 2009 APPROVED BY Cindy Carpenter DATE Position Summary(Overall purpose and objective of the position) The Outgoing Mailroom Clerk will process outgoing mail ensuring the mail is properly sorted, processed through the various mailroom equipment and machines, affixed with the proper postage and delivered daily to the Post Office. In addition, this position will sort paperwork to include declarations, renewals, expirations and commissions, prepare inserts for mailings and assist with the maintenance and cleaning of the machines and equipment. The Outgoing Mailroom Clerk reports to the Mailroom Supervisor. Shift :

30am - 4:
30pm, Monday through Friday Essential Functions/Responsibilities (List major job responsibilities that an employee must be able to perform, with or without reasonable accommodation) * Sort various types of insurance documents to include declarations, expirations, renewals, cancellations and commission checks, determining the need for additional inserts for mailing. * Sort and process various kinds of mail through the different mail machines affixing the correct postage. * Prepare inserts for future use in mailings. * Assist with the maintenance and cleaning of various mail room machines and equipment. * Load mail trays and deliver to Post Office. * Stocking and refilling supplies used in mailroom operation. * 1+ years office related experience preferred Skills and Abilities:
* Knowledge of office equipment, postage machines or mail room machines preferred * Ability to maintain confidentiality of clients and company * Team oriented with ability to work with minimal supervision to complete daily mail room operations. * Ability to work in fast-paced environment requiring multi-tasking skills Minimum Education:
* High School diploma or equivalent Physical Conditions/Requirements(Physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job, with or without accommodations) Physical Conditions/Requirements:
· Ability to lift and move 25 pounds repetitively. · Position requires the ability to hear and communicate clearly, orally and in writing. (Earplugs will be required while operating mailroom equipment.) · Uses vision to view screens, create and review mail room documents; requires close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. · Capable of using a keyboard and mailroom equipment. · Frequently required to stand for long periods of time, as well as sit and walk · Occasional travel to meetings or outside training may be required Employee must perform all of the essential functions/responsibilities for classification in this position.
