Job Summary:
Great-West Life & Annuity is actively seeking a Business Systems Analyst to join the Financial Services Team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience writing requirements documents. This role will utilize and promote best practices and methodologies when applying analytical skills to business requests and communicating these requests in a clear and unambiguous manner. The candidate should be able to work independently as well as in a team environment. Responsibilities & Qualifications:
Responsibilities:
The Business Systems Analyst is expected to:
* Research, analyze, document, and communicate the requirements of system and business functions. * Demonstrate good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining requirements and suggested solutions. * Network with senior internal and external personnel. * Proceed after receiving general instructions on new assignments and minimal instructions on day-to-day work. * Work in conjunction with the software development group and QA team to review and resolve contradictions and issues. Required Experience:
* Experience in writing system and software requirements. * General knowledge of the financial services and insurance industries. * Excellent verbal and written communications skills. * Ability to set goals and work with minimal direction. * At least 5 years of related experience. Desired Experience:
* Experience in writing general project control and closing documents. * Intermediate SQL skills About Us:
