Job Summary:
Responsible for ensuring timely reconciliation of Mutual Fund share positions including dividends. Discrepancies are documented, researched and forwarded to the appropriate entity/area for resolution within contractual and departmental parameters. Responsible for weekly and monthly management reports detailing outstanding reconciling items, anticipated resolution and age of reconciling items. Responsibilities & Qualifications:
1.Research discrepancies, contact fund houses and/or internal sources. Discrepancies will be discovered through reconciliations of system balances to information received from the fund houses or on the recordkeeping system. 50% 2. Preparaton of weekly and monthly reports detailing reconciling items, anticipated resolution and age of reconciling items. Reports are generated in Excel using system data formatted according to management requirements. 20% 3. Research and process dividends paid. Discrepancies over a set threshold between the dividends paid at the fund house and dividends paid on the recordkeeping system are researched. Dividends within the threshold and resolved dividends are loaded into the system. 20% 4. Verify problem resolution is timely and accurate. Follow up with appropriate areas regarding unresolved issues. 5% 5. Other duties as assigned. 5% Formal Education:
Bachelors Degree in Finance or Accounting. Experience, Knowledge and Skills:
More than two (2) years of experience in mutual fund operations. Without a specialized degree, an additional two to four years of directly-related experience preferred. Intermediate Excel and Fundlinx skills and basic Access skills Detail oriented. Ability to work within prescribed deadlines. Strong analytical/problem solving, written and verbal communication skills. This position requires submission of fingerprints to the FINRA
