Description - The main responsibility of the role is to process & implement scheduled changes on the UBS network infrastructure on firewalls, network load balancers, proxies and switches and routers. The role may also require participation in device life cycle management projects as and when taken up. Administrative tasks relating to maintaining the change process on a day to day basis will also form a part of the responsibilities. - The role may also need to act as escalation support for firewall & load balancer related issues (Incident Management). - Ability to systematically troubleshoot issues arising in the UBS internal network and network applications like F5. - Provide quick resolution by implementation of workarounds as agreed pre process. - Provide technical leadership in critical issues, demonstrated ability in handling some major outages and providing resolution to the same. - Ability to follow laid down incident, change and problem management processes and escalate as per SLA timelines to other resolver groups.. - Ability to interact with senior mgmt effectively in critical incident situations. Requirements Professional Qualifications and Personality - Graduate level degree - Multidisciplinary IT skills (networks, distributed systems); - Team playing skills & ability to work with diverse regions and cultures - Stress-resistant, global awareness and respect to diversity. - Person of a strong analytical mind with quick learning curve; - Excellent spoken and written English skills. - JNCIA & CCNA is a must for the role. - JNCIS & CCNP is preferred along with F5/3DNS experience and certification. Knowledge and Experience Profile o At least 4-6 years experience in a NOC environment in a globally spread network with at least 5-7 years experience with full read-write access on the network security infrastructure devices like Netcsreen firewalls or F5 Loadbalancers. o Provide technical leadership in critical issues, demonstrated ability in handling some major outages and providing resolution to the same. Experience in Shift lead type of responsibility will be an added advantage. o Good Experience with Juniper Net screen firewall (small to medium range firewalls). o Understand client requirements and be able to provide effective and supportable technical solutions to meet these requirements which adhere to global standards o Plan, manage and implement these solutions effectively and within target timescales o Use technical expertise and knowledge to resolve complex, service affecting problems in a timely manner o Identify when to escalate problems to vendors and manage the problem through to resolution o Manage client expectations o Thorough understanding NAT/PAT /MIP/DIP concepts on Net screen firewalls o Familiar with OS upgrade process on firewall o Experience on OSPF , BGP and Multicasting on Net screen firewall o Very good hands on design, manage and implement various firewall polices and rules on firewall. o Ability to deal with firewall related Incidents. o Solid understanding NSRP concepts on Net screen firewall. o Knowledge on Bluecoat proxies and Cisco load balancer will be a plus o Ability to Design , plan and implement VIP, POOL,SNAT,RULE bases changes on F5 load balancer o Working knowledge on F5 , GLB /3-DNS will be added advantages. o Communicate with internal departments to troubleshoot day-to-day operational Our Offering We can offer you an exciting, fast-paced working environment, a culture of mutual respect and teamwork and the opportunity to play a vital role in our growth.
