UBS Private Funds Group ("PFG") is a specialist product team within the Investment Bank and has established itself since inception in 1998 as a market leading placement agent. PFG provides global distribution for private equity and infrastructure funds and advises on all aspects relating to fundraising and has to date raised over $120 billion of capital for private equity funds. PFG is also a leading provider of secondary market advisory services solely focused on advising holders of private equity interests in funds and equity stakes in private companies on their liquidity options. The team has broad experience in all types of secondary transactions, including limited and full auctions and joint venture structures and since 2004 has executed over $16 billion in transactions. There is currently a large amount of institutional capital targeting secondary transactions and the market is expected to develop rapidly over the next 12 months. PFG has historically led its secondary activities from New York but is currently expanding its London-based European team to capitalize on the significant level of activity expected in the EMEA sector. PFG is looking for an ambitious and talented individual to join the London team as an Analyst. Responsibilities include (but not limited to):
? Primarily involved in execution activities, including basic responsibilities such as data gathering, analysis and material preparation, as well as taking responsibility for managing standard processes such as preparing deal documentation. ? May act as the key point of contact for clients in the context of a particular area of a transaction. ? Support senior managers in origination activities (e.g. preparing pitch books or modelling potential deals). ? May identify cross-product ideas, building effective cross-business area relationships and sharing information, which facilitates business development. Requirements ? A Graduate and have excellent results at A-level or equivalent ? FSA registered or local equivalent ? Post qualification experience, preferably in investment banking profiles or appropriate ACAs in Transaction Services (possibly audit) ? Previous related sector and deal experience beneficial ? You have a track record of success in your academic and professional life ? You possess excellent interpersonal skills, are energetic and committed and have proven team working ability ? You have a good understanding of corporate finance principles with strong modelling skills and a basic knowledge of the different M&A processes ? Strong knowledge of MS Office, Datastream, FactSet and Bloomberg ? You pay attention to details and possess strong work ethics ? Resilient to stress and able to multitask, you deliver on deadlines ? Hard worker and highly motivated, you have a positive attitude towards work ?
