Position territory will cover region including Pensacola, Panama City, Tallahassee and Dothan, AL. Ideally the candidate will be located centrally in this territory but we are open to candidates anywhere in this region. Responsibilities & Qualifications:
In this role you will be responsible for meeting with employees of primarily the State of Florida to help them understand the retirement benefits they have available to them through their employer. You will accomplish this by leading seminars, discussion groups and meeting one on one with the employees. You will have flexibility with your hours, a solid base pay with incentive compensation and the challenge of increasing the participation and contribution rates of the employees. This position is not for everybody.This is not a position for people that want to do cold-calling, outside, 100% commission sales. The State of Florida employees do have a choice when it comes to retirement plan vendors so there is a competitive nature to this plan. We want to increase participation and contribution rates but we do that through a philosophy geared towards education and not hard sales tactics. Also, you are responsible for setting up presentations and appointments and the training is mostly self-directed. Therefore, you have to be able to work independently and have strong orgnizational skills. We require that you travel to our clients’ sites although we do reimburse for travel. There will be some overnight stays required. This position requires FINRA Series 6 and 63 licensing as well as state Life and Health licenses. This means that we do a thorough background check and drug test. Great-West will provide the training materials and sponsorship for these licenses.
