Responsible for performing credit and portfolio risk analysis, identifying trends, developing risk metrics, building credit models and supporting senior analysts for Radian’s credit risk. The qualified candidate will know SAS. **Radian is not accepting unsolicited assistance from search firms for this employment opportunity. No fee will be paid in the event the candidate is hired by Radian as a result of the referral or through other means.** Responsibilities:
* Provide monthly and quarterly analysis and statistics in an accurate and timely manner. Analysis should include surveillance for new and existing business to identify trends in credit parameters, lenders, geography, product etc. * Conduct ad hoc analysis regarding the Mortgage Insurance market or a specific lender using both internal and external data sources. * Communicate timely and constructively with team members, other Risk Management personnel, and other Radian personnel on all of the areas noted above. * Support special projects by providing analytics with initial conclusions and recommendations. Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree preferred (Analytical or Quantitative field preferred) 1-3 years experience Revised posting 10/5/09:
SAS is a required skill. 1. Excellent SAS programming skills. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel including pivots, graphs, and vlookups. Effective use of data warehouse to gather information in a timely accurate manner. Use statistical skills to effectively analyze information. 2. Preferred prior experience in Insurance or Mortgage Industry identifying trends, changes, and new issues or other area of application. 3. Excellent analytical skills to make recommendations regarding company risk policies. 4. Good presentation (including oral and written) skills to be able to effectively communicate findings. 5. Good time management skills to be able to respond to continually changing priorities. 6. Ability to work both independently and within a team environment
