The primary responsibility of the High Net Worth Mortgage Banker (MS) is to provide a field resource for Financial Advisors and Client Advisors dealing with predominantly high net worth and ultra-high net worth clients. The MS promotes the mortgage program via teleconference at branch meetings, works closely with advisors in identifying mortgage opportunities and needs, and coordinating with mortgage bankers and the operations center to assure smooth execution of the mortgage experience of HNW clients. The MS has additional responsibilities which include:
building and maintaining relationships with Financial and Client Advisors, key branch personnel within assigned territory, as well as clients, and becoming a trusted advisor for these parties. The MS also works with Banking Products Consultants and other field sales groups to provide expert content to the branch network and internal sales partners, and supporting the wealth management process by ensuring the mortgage experience meets UBS Client and Financial Advisor Experience standards. While not actually completing mortgage applications from clients, the MS will actively be engaged in reviewing mortgage pipelines of assigned branches so that communication with Advisors is proactive and timely. To that end, a comprehensive knowledge of the UBS field organizational structure, excellent communication and organizational skills and the ability to create and maintain strong professional relationships is required. A fundamental knowledge of mortgage banking required and the candidate must be able to quickly learn mortgage origination if not already experienced in this area. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in working within an organization supporting high-end clients in a customer service role. Key Responsibilities:
. Respond to pre-sale inquiries from HNW and UHNW Financial Advisors and Client Advisors, clients, prospective clients, and consumers . Schedule application sessions for clients when directed to do so by the Advisor . Establish relationships with key referral sources in order to facilitate the mortgage referral process. Review the Advisors client book for mortgage opportunities, under the direction of the Financial Advisor . Proactively manage pipeline status reporting for assigned branches . Work closely with referral sources to retain clients for the firm as well as attract new clients through attractive mortgage offerings and partnering in creating strategies for retention and acquisition on a 1:
1 basis with Advisors . Set expectations for Advisors, communicating frequently with both the Advisors and Managers. . Using tool kits and marketing campaigns provided by WM, educate Advisors on value proposition of each campaign and support FA marketing efforts . Represent the interests of Advisors and clients in following up on both sales and operational issues, assuring an excellent experience for both Advisors and HNW clients. Assure adequate resources are available to support the needs of assigned Advisors and branches . Spot additional opportunities for mortgage lending, banking products and asset management and communicating appropriately with banking consultants and Advisors Requirements . Thorough understanding of the mortgage process. . Thorough understanding of the structure of UBS Wealth Management . Ability to use a consultative and relationship-based sales approach with UBS Financial Advisors and Client Advisors . In-depth understanding of mortgage products, pricing structures, underwriting and appraisal processes, and salability guidelines . Strong written and verbal communication skills . College degree preferred. . Highly organized and detail-oriented. . Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. . Strong, professional communicator with presentation skills required for high end clients and FA's .
