Our Columbia, MD office is seeking a Senior Accountant within our OptumHealth team. The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:
* Conducting complex account reconciliation * Reviewing accounting classifications in accordance with GAAP principles * Analyzing revenue, medical costs, and commissions to ensure effective reporting and grouping * Interfacing with auditors by providing data and answering questions * Assisting with regulatory/statutory filings At OptumHealth, you will perform within an innovative culture that's focused ontransformational change in the health care system. And you will make contributions that will have an impact that's greater than you've ever imagined. * Bachelor degree in Accounting * 2-3 years accounting experience * Account reconciliation background * Analysis experience * Experience providing requested data to auditors * Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel required; Microsoft Access skills are a plus * Teamwork ability and attention to detail * Public accounting experience a plus * Statutory reporting experience is a plus Diversity creates a healthier atmosphere:
