Senior Writer/Editor - Providence, RI Primary Responsibilities:
* Researches, creates and edits documentation for the product, internal documents, release notes and training documents in a timely manner, within established standards of functionality, clarity and information quality * Creates and delivers information for end users in other media when required * Responsible for development of documentation for all modules in CareTracker (Practice Management and EHR) and for the on-going maintenance and updates of the HELP system * Assists in development of documentation standards, guidelines and conventions * Stays abreast of current trends and industry techniques * Attends technical meetings and demonstrations in order to gather project information and communicate overall project plans, status, and issues to manager and cross-functional teams * Contributes to and participate in testing activities identified by the development teams * Works efficiently and independently to develop schedules and documentation plans; hold interviews with subject matter experts; and follows documentation processes and standards * Reviews specifications and participates in design meetings to provide input on how features could affect users and documentation * Must be able to maintain records and data in a highly organized and confidential manner * Imperative that all Ingenix and HIPAA compliance guidelines are followed and all questions and concerns are directed to the Compliance Officer Bring your talent to an industry leader with the information, technology, and consulting expertise to help transform health and human services. * 4 years experience designing / writing / editing software documentation with a focus on user guides, software manuals, and online Help * Experience using Robohelp and other Adobe Creative Studio Products * Experience using MS Office products * Strong written communication skills * Ability to effectively communicate information * Excellent organizational skills * Ability to work both independently and/or as a team to meet deadlines is a must * Ability to simultaneously coordinate multiple projects in a fast paced environment * Strong analytical skills * Proven project management skills * Excellent attention to detail and solid problem solving abilities * Flexibility. * Experience with publishing software * Experience with development of web-based training a plus * Experience in any aspect of health care information systems is a plus * An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered * Bachelor's degree * Certification in Instructional Design a plus, but not required Diversity creates a healthier atmosphere:
