Under the direction of the Business Office Manager, the incumbent assists with the administration of the scheduling, billing, and collections functions of a dynamic diagnostic radiology practice.  Additionally responsible for maintaining the radiology information and patient accounting systems that support these functions.  Position requires extensive knowledge of the patient revenue cycle and a proven record of success with Prioritizing and overseeing accounts receivable Collecting, posting, and reconciling cashMinimizing bad debtsMonitoring manage care contractAnalyzing and reporting complex billing and reimbursement issuesUnderstanding rules and laws concerning insurance reimbursement and ability to contend with multiple payer requirements Effectively communicating, both orally and in writing, with staff members, department managers, and outside agencies Bachelor?s degree requiredPrevious supervisory experience requiredMinimum 5 years medical billing and collections experienceGeneral experience with outpatient radiology practice preferredPC proficiency required including the use of word processors, spreadsheets, databases, presentation software, and queries Familiarity with HL7 and DICOM concepts requiredPrevious experience maintaining a RIS or patient accounting system preferred
