Full-time; 40 hours per week; Day Shift +++ NOTE:
Travel may be required +++ POSITION SUMMARY:
Serves as a subject matter expert (SME) to support NCAL KFH Clinical Documentation Initiatives and serves as the HIM Liaison to the Permanente Medical Group Clinical Documentation Team. Collaborates with interdisciplinary teams including, but not limited to, physicians, nurse practitioners, Physician Assistants, and department mangers for Revenue Integrity, Data Quality, Case Management and Health Information Management. Collaborates extensively with other members of the regional HIM team, particularity the Regional Coding Director/Manager and the HIM facilities for issue resolution, researching (root-cause analysis), summarizing information and working with relevant stakeholders to provide the Regional HIM Managing Director with the information needed to make sound and timely decisions regarding program implementation or modifications Services as clinical liaison between HIM and Utilization Management/Case Management and Compliance Works with HIM coders to implement and monitor departmental policies and procedures that support revenue cycle, and organizational goals, timely, complete and accurate coding, business objectives & workflow standardization. EDUCATION/LICENSE/CERTIFICATION:
BS (Nursing, Business Administration, Health Care, Public Health, Finance, Business Health Information Management) or equivalent experience. Certification in one of the following:
Registered Nurse (RN), current California RN lic
