DepartmentRadiologySchedulePoolShiftRotating shiftsHoursJob DetailsTo perform a full range of magnetic resonance diagnostic studies of high technical and visual quality.Must be competent in hospital emergency response codes, including Code Grey. -Perform quality assurance program procedures. -Evaluate proper operation of the MRI equipment. -Perform MRI and MRA procedures of diagnostic quality using proper technical factors. -Start intravenous access and proper administration of I.V. and oral contrast media. -Consult and maintain appropriate medical records. -Operate MR and auxiliary equipment with professional competents -Evaluate patient safety and comfort for MRI examinations. -Greet and escort patients to the examination room. -Position patients and equipment properly for ordered examinations. -Administer first aid or resuscitation as needed. -Supervise or assist with the instruction of student technologist and ancillary personnel. -Maintain skills and update knowledge through continuing study of MR procedures and techniques. -Attend in service training sessions and seminars as necessary. -Maintain and clean equipment, supplies and the MRI Scan area. -May schedule patients, order supplies and assist in general clerical work. -Compile and submit patient billing documentation. -Operate computer system -All duties and standards within this document will be performed in compliance with regulatory guidelines and applicable federal/state laws and Phoenix Baptist Hospital policies and procedures. -Maintain the confidentiality of all patient information handled when performing duties and report activities by any individual or entity suspected of compromising the confidentiality of parent information to supervisor. -Maintain satisfactory attendance. Assist other departments as seen necessary by the Radiology Supervisor or Director. Minimum Education and Experience:
Completion of an accredited MRI program. Prior general radiology experience or prior MRI hospital experience. Must have current certification for ARRT or MRTBE or ARDMS or JRCNMT or NMTCB. Prefered experience:
Three years MRI hospital experience. *hj
