A clinical pharmacist position in Neurology Acute Care and Rehabilitation is available at Intermountain Medical Center. The clinical pharmacist will provide pharmaceutical care services to promote the safe and efficacious use of drug therapy in the area of neurology acute care and rehabilitation. Responsibilities include direct patient care, medication therapy consultations, protocol development, medication reconciliation, discharge counseling, and code participation. Serve as a member of the Neurology Acute Care and Rehabilitation team by participating in group meetings, staff development programs, projects, service coverage, and journal clubs. Participation in departmental and interdisciplinary committees to support the organization's efforts for performance improvement to improve patient safety, therapeutic outcomes, and cost savings is required. Serve as a medication therapy resource for other clinical pharmacists, pharmacy students, pharmacy residents, pharmacy interns, physicians, medical residents, nurses, and patients. Opportunities for collaborative clinical research are available and encouraged. Precepting pharmacy residents and students on clinical rotations is required. Adjunct clinical faculty appointments are available. Qualified applicants must possess a doctor of pharmacy degree from an ACPE-accredited college of pharmacy. Excellent interpersonal skills are required. Previous experience and board certification are desirable.
