The Patient Care Manager is responsible for the overall day-to-day operations of his or her assigned area. The Manager works collaboratively with other hospital services, medical staff, and administration to ensure that quality patient care is delivered. Duties include hiring, evaluating and counseling personnel, setting standards for patient care, developing a safe, professional environment, allocating and managing department resources, and providing direct patient care as needed. Demonstrates ability to perform competencies as outlined in ICU competency assessment tools. *HJBasic Qualifications (required)Current California RN License.Minimum Qualifications (required)Minimum two years experience in acute care critical care. Excellent communciation, problem-solving and planning skills. Ability to work well as part of the leadership team. Ability to direct others and negotiate for desired results.BLS for Health Care Provider through American Heart Association required upon hire.Preferred QualificationsTwo years experience in a management role strongly preferred. CCRN preferred.Bachelor's degree preferred.
