The Roy and Patricia Disney Family Cancer Center at the corner of Buena Vista Street and Alameda Avenue (across the street from Providence Saint Joseph Medical Center) is an integrated facility providing a full range of diagnostic, treatment, care and support services for cancer patients and their families in one location. Our patients also benefit from our respected team of researchers, which brings the latest breakthroughs in techniques, procedures, equipment and medications to patients of Providence Regional Cancer Centers. Under the guidance of the PSJMC Associate Administrator and in collaboration with Service Line Director of Oncology Services, the Administrator is directly responsible for all operations, financial planning, evaluating and implementing new programs, ongoing customer and staff satisfaction of the Roy and Patricia Disney Family Cancer Center (DFCC) at PSJMC. This will includes but is not limited to the following services - Radiation Oncology, Medical Oncology Tenant suite (tenant relations and program integration) Integrative Medicine Center, Appearance Center Resource Center, DFCC financial services and registration, PSJMC Infusion Service, Physician Timeshare Suite. This position is fully responsible for developing, initiating, and maintaining daily operations of Roy and Patricia Disney Family Cancer Center to ensure overall program success. The Administrator utilizes a variety of skills to educate, consult, and assist the patient care team in achieving the highest quality and best possible outcome for the patient, in a cost effective manner. The Administrator collaborates with nursing, surgery, diagnostic, psychosocial, home care, hospice, cancer data services, clinical research, and other ancillary and business support services to ensure a comprehensive and coordinated continuum of care model for patients, their families and physicians. The Administrator, through their direct and indirect reports, oversees the strategic development, daily operations and financial viability of the DFCC. The Administrator collaborates with Leadership with a focus on physician relationships, patient and staff satisfaction and program development initiatives. In collaboration with the PSJMC Associate Administrator and the Director of Oncology Services the Associate Director analyzes volume, revenue, cost, quality, productivity and customer satisfaction trends to drive volume growth and profitability for the Cancer Centers. This position requires the establishment of strong working relationships with management, clinical and support staff, and physicians throughout DFCC and PSJMC including patient care, business support functions, strategic development, marketing, fundraising, and other relevant departments. The Administrator must have an ability to work with multiple people towards a common goal including actively engaging physicians in business growth and marketing strategies, clinical care and quality improvement opportunities, revenue enhancement and cost reduction opportunities. The Administrator maintains expertise in areas such as disease site management, radiation therapy and medical oncology reimbursement, multidisciplinary care coordination clinical trial involvement, community education, cancer screening, pain management for cancer patients, medical staff issues, equipment procurement, business planning, marketing, analysis of cancer patient patterns, and American College of Surgeons, American Cancer Society, and all relevant program requirements. Minimum Education Required Bachelor?s of Science Degree in Health Care Administration, Nursing, or related field required Preferred Education Master?s Degree in Health Care Administration, Nursing, or related field Minimum Experience Required Five years operational experience in oncology services Management Experience Required Ten years management experience Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Required Knowledge in market research, marketing, budgeting, and proven experience in program development Excellent communication skills Ability to manage change, promote positive interpersonal relations, and an understanding of physician bonding techniques and programs Excellent skills in planning, organization, marketing and program management Expertise in the management of clinical staff and facilities Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills in dealing with physicians, hospital and system administration, peers and staff.
