- Ability to recognize emergency medical situations - CPR Required - Current Maryland Licensure Job Description:
Independently assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates the nursing care of patients from admission through discharge. In collaboration with the patient and family, provides theory-based professional nursing care and coordinates care delivery with the physician and other members of the health care team. Education:
Valid nursing license in the State of Maryland. CPR certification. MUST HAVE MINIMUM OF 2 YEARS NURSING EXPERIENCE. THIS POSITION IS A NURSING FLOAT POSITION:
MUST BE WILLING TO WORK AND ADAPT TO VARIOUS UNITS. ALL FLOAT POSITIONS ADD $6.00/HR ON TOP OF BASE HOURLY RATE. Experience:
Two years of nursing experience. Skills:
Effective interpersonal skills including verbal and written communication. Basic math skills. Demonstrated ability to precept. Demonstrated high level of clinical competence. Physical Requirements:
Visual acuity; manual dexterity and physical mobility; hear and orally communicate. Heavy physical effort (lift/carry up to 50 lbs). Lifts, positions, pushes, and/or transfers patients; prolonged standing/walking; intermittent exertion when performing treatments. Working Conditions:
Exposure to communicable diseases, toxic substances, medicinal preparations, and other conditions common to a clinical environment.
