The Registered Nurse, in accordance with the Spectrum Health nursing accountability statement, collaborates with other members of the health care team and uses clinical judgment skills to diagnose and treat the patient responses to actual or potential health conditions. The RN assesses, monitors, detects, plans and takes appropriate action to prevent potential physiological complications associated with specific health problems and/or medical treatment. Job Requirements:
Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Michigan. Graduate of approved nursing program; Bachelor's degree preferred. Successful completion of competency-based orientation program. CPR certification or acquisition within 90 days of employment. Working knowledge of computers and their application. Other:
Time management and organizational skills. Effective written and verbal communication skills. Working knowledge of a variety of health care equipment. Ability to make quality, independent decisions. Ability to instruct and direct the work of others. 80% of time spend standing and/or walking. Ability to lift up to a 60 pound weight load. Very frequent lifting and bending, pushing and/or pulling loads. Able to work effectively and efficiently under tight deadlines, high volumes and multiple interruptions. Unique Requirements:
