Truman Medical Centers has an immediate opening for a Grant Accountant-InternalAuditor in their Internal Audit Department. Applies advanced auditing knowledge and experience to successfully achieve thegoals of the Annual Audit Plan. Identifies risks and manages the operatingeffectiveness of key business processes; measures the adequacy and effectivenessof internal controls, safeguards assets and verifies compliance with laws,regulations and policies. Prepare monthly billings and invoices for the services and good purchasedthrough government grants and contracts, as applicable. Maintain the financialrecords related to government grants in which TMC participates. Prepare generalledger account reconciliations and assist the external auditors with theyear-end financial statement audit related to government grants. Minimum Requirements:
1.) A BS/BA degree in Accounting 2.) A minimum of three (3) years of general ledger accounting, internal auditingand/or public accounting experience 3.) Working knowledge of hospital industry accounting principles and methods 4.) Proficient in use of personal computers, word processing and spreadsheets. 5.) Ability to plan and perform operational, financial and compliance auditswith a minimum of supervision 6.) Must possess advanced auditing skills and knowledge of auditing standards 7.) Ability to quickly become familiar with information technology in use atTMC. 8.) Must have excellent written and oral communication skills; and be able towork and communicate effectively with all levels of management. Preferred Qualifications:
1.) Accounting Experience in a Healthcare Organization 2.) Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) 3.) Experience using the following applications:
Word, Excel, Access, CrystalReports, SQL, audit software. Location:
