* Job Summary:
Performs a wide variety of technical and professional duties utilizing complex diagnostic and therapeutic imaging equipment under the supervision of a Special Procedure technologist or Physician. Follows specialized techniques to produce high quality neuro-vascular and endovascular angiography examinations. Safely and competently utilizes all imaging and information systems equipment. Accountable for exact patient coding and billing for both procedure technique and supplies utilized by entry into the RIS and other Quality Assurance systems. Collaborates with team to assess patients and is a patient advocate. Job Requirements:
Graduation from an A.M.A. approved Radiologic Technology program and American Registry of Radiologic Technologists' Certification, and Connecticut State License. A.R.R.T. certification and demonstrated technical skills. Prefer 1 year experience as a Radiographer. Demonstrated skills in use of Diagnostic Imaging machinery, image processing, good communication, patient care, technical positioning and computer skills. Extensive understanding of anatomy and physiology is important. Must meet expectations of job responsibilities and performance standards as stated in the criteria based job description. Performance will be assessed continually by supervisor. Must complete Interventional Radiology (IR) core competencies within 9 months according to an IR Trainee to Technologist tract. Uses independent judgment and team effort to ensure efficient use of IR resources to maximize patient throughput and maintain patient satisfaction. Follows prescribed protocol for examinations. Recognizes and reports problems to supervisor; keeps complete and accurate records. Must be able to lift a minimum of 40 lbs to assist with patient transfers and wear a lead apron for extended periods of time. Hours 11:
