Providence is calling Endoscopy Registered Nurses! Under the supervision of the Charge Nurse, the Registered Nurse (RN) serves as a role model, leader, and bedside care coordinator of the multidisciplinary team providing patient care. The RN plans and provides care to patients using the nursing process, available resources, and approaches based on hospital and departmental protocols in caring for the pediatric, adult, older adult, acutely ill and chronically ill patient. Areas where the Imaging RN may function include:
general diagnostic, special procedures, nuclear medicine, ultrasound, computerized tomography, interventional radiology, and positron emission tomography (PET) and Endoscopy. On-call scheduling includes both Diagnostic Imaging and Endoscopy. Position Specifics This position is located at Providence St. Peter Hospital in Olympia, Washington. This position is 0.3 FTE, 12 hrs/wk, variable shifts, in the Endoscopy Department. All candidates hired into a position posted as 20 hrs/wk or more qualify for benefits. REQUIREMENTS Education:
A Bachelors degree in Nursing is preferred. Licenses/Certifications:
Current Washington State Licensure as a Registered Nurse. . Experience:
A minimum of one-year experience in radiology, critical care, emergency, or telemetry required. Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and IV certification required. Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) is recommended. Experience in Moderate Sedation administration and monitoring required. Proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing English.
