This current opportunity is in our 46 bed Med/Surg Oncology unit. He/She provides post-op care to the following types of patients, abdominal surgery, orthopedic surgery, amputation, and all other patient types requiring post-operative interventions. The nurse will also Assist physicians with and provides nursing care for patients requiring chest tube insertion or removal, lumbar puncture, bone marrow aspiration and all other procedures appropriate to med/surg scope of care. POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
1) Current California State Registered Nurse License. 2) Current BLS sponsored by the American Heart Association. 3) Minimum 1 year of experience working as RN within an acute care environment. 4) Demonstrates clinical competency in the care of adult medical, and surgical patients. PREFERRED:
