IT Lead Software Engineer

Job Details:

Seeking a highly experienced Lead Software Engineer to join our clients team. This role will help to set the technical direction for a team of mid to senior level software engineers. This is a hands-on, roll-up-your-sleeves position and will require substantial coding experience, including building enterprise-class software in a web service and client/server environment.Key Functions* Designing and implementing large, complex projects from the ground up primarily using Java* Work closely with business customers to define and scope new products focused on budgeting, accounting and payroll for the entertainment industry* Provide mentorship to a team of 5-7 engineers, including setting best practices and performing code reviews* Recommend new technologies, tools and standards to improve efficiency and productivity within the teamRequirements* 7+ years hands-on Java experience* 3+ years using SQL and relational databases (MySQL/Oracle preferred)* Experience with C/C++ and/or C# preferred* Strong knowledge of OO design, data structures and algorithms* Ability to play a leadership role including mentoring and code reviews* Expert in building web services (REST/SOAP) and client/server applications* Experience with TCP/IP and network programming* Working knowledge of Agile development methodologies* Excellent communication and people skills* Experience using scripting languages such as Perl, PHP, Ruby, Python a strong plus* BSCS or equivalent, advanced degree a plusIf you would like to learn more about this position please forward your resume in Word format to lancealaninc@aol.com.
