As a member of the Planning & Delivery Center of Excellence for Scholastic Technology Services (STS), the Project Manager will support the STS organization by being accountable for delivering investment projects. Specifically, this individual will be responsible for creating and maintaining project plans to communicate tasks, milestone dates, status, and resource allocation. They will also contribute to the creation and continuous improvement of processes and tools used by STS to deliver value-added technology services and solutions to its business partners. This individual will be located in our Lake Mary, FL office.Responsibilities:
Working in conjunction with project and application owners across STS, the Project Manager will:
? Ensure proper project planning occurs and that estimates for scope, effort, cost, and schedule are properly defined, communicated, and accepted by key stakeholders.? Create project plans and execute against them, revising as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements. ? Identify resources needed and assign individual responsibilities. Where necessary, negotiate with others to properly allocate required resources to the project.? Identify, document, and communicate expectations for stakeholder involvement ? Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion.? Manage day-to-day operational aspects of a project and its scope. ? Review deliverables to ensure completeness & adherence to standards. ? Effectively apply our methodology and enforce project standards. ? Prepare for progress and milestone reviews. ? Manage risks and issues. ? Ensure project documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately, as described in the project's data management plan.? Track and report team hours on a weekly basis. ? Manage project budget. ? Ensure best practices are adhered to for all projects? Ensure that projects are completed on time, on budget with a high level of customer/business satisfaction.? Ensure inclusion of the Enterprise Architect throughout the project lifecycle to ensure adherence to architecture and standards.As part of the centralized Planning & Delivery Center of Excellence, the Project Manager will:
? Participate in the annual STS planning cycle by gathering and analyzing project proposals, collecting information on annual production support and enhancement budgets by application group, and preparing this information for review and approval by STS and Business Leadership? Assist with the development, deployment, and continuous improvement of an integrated project management toolset covering portfolio, project, demand, time, and resource management? Assist in the development, deployment, and continuous improvement of project management processes to be leveraged throughout STS when dedicated Project Managers are not assigned
