Job Title:
Sr. Systems Engineer II (System Analyst/Requirements Developer) Position Summary:
n This position supports a product development team by analyzing system requirements and decomposing those to lower levels of assembly. This engineer will be responsible for unit requirements from definition phase through verification and will be involved in laboratory integration and test. Experience with requirements development, management and HW integration are required. Experience developing test plans and test methodologies for weapon integration into a combat system are also a necessity. This position reports to the Naval Weapon Systems Tactical Systems Design Department of the Systems Design and Performance directorate in engineering in Tucson, AZ. Required Experience & Skills:
n Six (6) years of extensive experience in design, development and fielding of radar and/or radar guided missiles. n Requirements Elicitation Experience ? customer interaction/experience n Requirements Development for Radar and Computer Sub Systems n Requirements Management experience n Integration and Test Experience n Strong communication skills. n Demonstrated excellence in written and verbal communication. n Must have an existing or the ability to obtain a DoD issued Secret Security clearance. Degree Requirements:
n Bachelor of Science in Engineering Desired Experience & Skills:
n Requirements Development/Analysis Tools (e.g. MATLAB) n Requirements Management Tools (e.g. DOORS) n Developing and Executing Test Plans at Subsystem and system levels n Experience with Earned Value Management System (EVMS) n Experience with System Integrity Architecture, Design, Integration, and Verification n Current Security Clearance Key Responsibilities (Essential Functions):
n Technical point of contact who is responsible for the development and technical integrity of subsystems within the over arching missile system. n Supports technical leadership for program integrated product team, contribute to technical project management of tasks, schedules, and costs, including developing plans and estimates, task execution, project tracking, reporting, and risk identification and mitigation plans. n Developing system and sub-system specifications and statements of work for sub-system development suppliers. n Developing test and integration plans and requirements. n Provide technical briefings to internal management and external customers. n Participate in technical multi-disciplined engineering teams efforts to design, develop and field a missile system. n Perform, orchestrate and support trade studies for new business and proposal development, to include:
evaluation of candidate designs against requirements to determine the "best fit" solution performing first order analyses of performance of candidate designs and participating in modeling and simulation efforts for system performance analyses. Security Requirement:
Must currently have or be able to obtain a DoD issued Secret Security Clearance, with ability to obtain Top Secret. DoD Top Secret clearance desired with current SSBI within last 5 years. U.S. citizenship is required for purposes of obtaining clearances. Additional clearances may also be required from the DoD.
