Director Sales - Wholesale IP Transit

Tasks:
- Administers an annual operating budget for Product Sales. - Assists in developing sales strategies and marketing plans. Identifies tools to assist with sales activities and action steps to follow in the sales campaign. - Works closely with training teams for deployment of successful training curriculum. - Implements advertising and promotional activities. - Recruits, trains, and provides leadership to Product Sales personnel. Coordinates all logistical aspects of the sales program. - Deploys incentives and other programs as necessary to achieve critical milestones to success. - Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance. - Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) as necessary. - Other duties and responsibilities as assigned. Direct of Sales, Wholesale IP Transit Description:
The Director of Sales, Wholesale IP Transit, plays a major role in the account development of key customers in the Wholesale and Carriers Services Unit of Comcast, and will be responsible for developing and driving sales to new accounts. The responsibilities of this position are diverse and require a high level of aptitude with sales, commercial, and technical skills. 1. Responsibilities:
Sales Execution for Wholesale IP Transit (90%) . Identify targets (outside of existing closed and active base), decision makers and conduct outreach. . Drive sales of Comcast Wholesale IP Transit portfolio across target customers. . Document and maintain/track a prioritized funnel and communicate status on a regular basis to Management. . Partner as appropriate with Comcast Sales Engineering, Product, Operations, Legal, Finance or other organizations as appropriate. . Log customer account, contact and status in appropriate sales systems (i.e. Salesforce.com; contract warehouse, etc.) . Manage execution of contracts with appropriate Comcast personnel. . Spearhead all post-sale activities to ensure timely activation and accelerate revenue recognition including capacity planning, order entry and provisioning. . Serve as initial point-of-contact for all customer issues requiring escalation including feature/technical spec support, service assurance or billing questions/problems. Inform Product Lifecycle (10%) . Identify and document additional product / service requirements to optimize or improve existing suite of services. 2. Deliverables:
. Exceed quarterly and annual targets for incremental committed month revenue. . Author and maintain customer funnel including tracking of estimated sales on monthly basis for upcoming 12 months. . Maintain database of accounts, points-of-contact and current status/dialogue in Salesforce.com 3. Qualifications:
. Bachelor degree in business or technical field and/or MBA. . 5 to 10 years of work experience in telecommunications or technology, preferably in areas of business development, sales, project management and/or financial analysis. . Experience in telecom services (Private Line, Ethernet, Wavelength, IP, and/or MPLS) and international networking is highly desired. . Strong Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, and Power point) . Strong relationship and presentation skills. Ability to articulate clearly, verbally and written . Foreign Language skills recommended Required Skills:
