Job Details:
Successful OEM located in the DC Metropolitan area, is seeking a high energy, experienced Chief Operating Officer (COO). As an OEM supplier, we are looking for a COO with world-class experience in supply chain management, outsourcing and contract management, and overall product quality. This person will be part of the executive management team and will oversee and direct all operational policies, objectives, and initiatives. This position will be responsible for strategic planning, process improvement, production schedules, and proactive day-to-day management of the following functions:Mfg Operations, Purchasing, Shipping/Receiving and Customer Technical Support. COO will also interface closely with the Engineering Department on product development and delivery. This position will report directly to the CEO. Job Requirements:
Excellent leadership qualities Minimum 8+ yrs management experience preferably at the Sr. VP level Prior experience in:
Electronics manufacturing including product testNew product introduction processCommitted to developing a Total Quality environmentStrong goal and process orientationISO 9000 experience preferredExperience in smaller companies as well as companies in the $100-$400M sales rangeExcellent interpersonal skillsExcellent negotiation skills.
