The Import/ Export Administrator supports the export/import compliance program and ensures consistent compliance with US regulatory laws and internal controls of all transactions involving the movement of goods, technical data and services to or from a foreign entity. The responsibilities for the position are as follows:
Supports continuous classification endeavors of product, technical data and service with export jurisdiction and classification determination process for Specialty Seating Systems' facilities. Determine proper Harmonized Tariff Schedules (HTSUS) for all products, services and technical data for Specialty Seating Systems facilities. Research updates for HTSUS changes and ensuring relevant changes are completed. Contribute to preparation of Import and/or Export licenses and approvals. Maintain records for Import, Export, and Government Property activities, and ensure stop gaps are in place for exports for Specialty Seating Systems' facilities. Reviews and approves documentation, presentations, and technical communications for facilities, and assists with Unclassified facility visit authorizations for Specialty Seating Systems' facilities. Examines inbound and outbound invoices and shipping documents to ensure accordance with federal regulations. Verify proper import Harmonized Tariff Schedules (HTSUS) are being utilized for all Imports. Provide support for review of export documentation including commercial invoices, packing lists, Automated Export System filings (AES), etc. Assists with audit procedures and schedules to track compliance as required for Import, Export and Government Property Management for Specialty Seating Systems' facilities. Supports monthly Import & Export and Government Property Management training with preparing training announcements, recordkeeping and assisting both the International Trade Compliance Specialist and Government Property Administrator. Maintains compliance with corporate mandated procedures, directives; internal compliance procedures; Export Administration Regulations (EAR); International Traffic-in-Arms Regulations (ITAR); and Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR 45.5). Other duties as assigned. Basic Qualifications:
Associate's/Technical Degree (two years), plus the following:
.1 year of experience in the international trade environment supporting the regulatory compliance of goods, technical data and services. .Excellent verbal and written skills. .Strong organizational skills. .US citizenship required. .An understanding of import/export regulations affecting the aerospace industry is preferred. % Travel Required:
