Junior/Mid-level IT JAVA / .NET Software Developer– Fairfax, Virginia Tetra Tech, Inc. (www.tetratech.com), an industry leader and nationally recognized engineering and consulting firm with more than 10,000 associates and 250 offices across the U.S. and abroad, has an immediate opening in our Fairfax, Virginia location for JAVA / .NET Software Developer.The successful candidate will have significant influence in helping to shape an expanding development team. This position is a full-time employee position with excellent pay and benefits. Responsibilities:
· Participate as part of a team to support the development of desktop and web-based software applications · Advise project managers, business analysts and customers regarding best technical practices · Utilize strong system architecture skills · Follow formal software development processes · Plan, design and develop new applications · Integrate third party applications · Mentorless experienced developers and be responsible for participating in code/peer review · Clearly communicate with team members · Serve as a junior Oracle Database Administrator and database developer Job Requirements :
Required Skills:
· Java and/or.NET · Object-oriented design · XML/Web Services, · Oracle/SQL Server (SQL, stored procedures) and · AJAX. · A degree in engineering, science, or computer science · 1+ years of programming experience · Excellent verbal and written communication skills · Oracle DB experience and or PL / SQL Oracle development Desired Skills:
