 This position is responsible for providing accurate, relevant and timely information and analysis to support ad hoc research requests from clients and to support on-going reporting for management and the Board of Directors. Research:
Gathers information and data from primary and secondary sources Uses business and industry knowledge to sift through the data and effectively synthesize the relevant data and insights Structures basic research notes and analysis  Scans key competitors, retail and apparel industry constituents, emerging industry and market developments, and reports relevant insights on a proactive and global basis Stays informed about apparel industry practices and new developments  Works independently to complete research and  structure effective end-product Learns and utilizes a wide range of market and financial data sources.  Actively seeks out new sources and more effective scanning mechanisms.  Persistent and creative in finding sources of information and competitive insights. Responsible for maintenance and enhancement of the Strategy Library  WritingPrepares deliverables ranging from short notes to in-depth reports on covered companies, apparel and retail industry issues, and other requested topics Communicates research findings in appropriate format.  Regular deliverables include monthly same-store sales report, Marketplace Reports Summary, and direct delivery to individual clients.
