Manager, Corporate Compliance
Job Details:
Position Description:DJO is a global provider of medical devices that provide solutions for musculoskeletal health, vascular health and pain management. We are currently seeking a at our global headquarters in Vista, CA.Essential Duties:
?Initiate, develop, implement and revise compliance policies and procedures, as appropriate.?Identify and oversee audit and monitoring activities, including billing audits and ensure development and implementation of appropriate corrective action plans based on audit findings. ?Develop compliance training materials and conduct compliance training for internal and external workforce, including sales force. ?Oversee company's electronic compliance training program and establish processes for tracking, reporting and follow-up. ?Conduct complex compliance/reimbursement/billing/coding research, analyze findings, and make recommendations. ?Ensure appropriate systems in place to track and monitor compliance issues; monitor reports and information in the existing Corporate Compliance databases and take action, as appropriate.?Conduct and document investigations of alleged compliance violations, including hotline reports, and make recommendations on corrective actions. ?Ensure compliance with ACHC accreditation requirements, including coordination of company accreditation process and site visits. ?Serve as liaison to and provide guidance for billing personnel, where appropriate. ?Oversee creation and revision of patient billing documents and forms.?Make recommendations on and assist with coding of company products.?Assist with the Coding Verification Process to PDAC.?Assist VP Corporate Compliance with special projects, as requested. Qualifications:
Education - Bachelor Degree required. Masters Degree preferred. Experience - Eight years of progressive experience, including management experience, in a compliance related role with a focus on the health care industry, preferably with a DMEPOS supplier. Must possess ability to obtain compliance certification (CHC) within two years. ?Knowledge of healthcare compliance and laws and regulations, preferably as they apply to DMEPOS suppliers.?Knowledge of Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement and fraud and abuse laws. ?Knowledge of HIPAA privacy and security laws and regulations. ?Experience with accreditation processes for DMEPOS suppliers or other health care organization.?Ability to analyze and interpret complex health care regulations and apply to company business and operations.?Knowledge of insurance industry, DME billing processes and HCPCS coding. ?Ability to analyze and interpret Medicare NCDs and LCDs and apply to company business and operations. ?Strong writing and presentation skills.?Demonstrates unwavering personal and organizational ethical standards?Ability to manage a diverse and demanding workload?Ability to be interactive with executives and other senior level personnel.?Excellent computer skills:
