The Manager of Business Sales has the primary responsibility of directly managing a team of 6-12 Sales Professionals. Our Sales team implements solution-based sales strategies and uncovers new business opportunities within Fortune 1000 Enterprise accounts and Associations based in their regions. As a Manager of Business Sales you will ensure all Sales Professionals meet and exceed all sales, operational, and performance objectives by providing training, development and coaching. You will directly manage a sales team within a market and assume supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include:
* Planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising and managing performance; rewarding employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. * Managing existing and/or newly assigned accounts, which are strategic to the long-term viability of the organization. * Providing professional leadership and coordination of the sales and support teams on single-focused key accounts. * Articulating customer-tailored value propositions and formulating specific solutions to meet customer requirements in a consultative manner. * Identifying, qualifying, and assisting with finding opportunities to achieve a greater customer base and a higher conversion ratio. * Executing early-stage risk and margin analysis to ensure delivery success to drive revenue recognition and profitability. * Managing the recruitment, hiring, and development of the sales staff to ensure the achievement of sales and revenue objectives. * Managing employee development processes to meet employee training requirements and ensure a qualified, skilled work force to meet the customers' needs and achieve sales goals. * Building and maintaining a network of colleagues, partners, and customers to share information and obtain prospects. * Monitoring competitive conditions with the market area and making recommendations for product changes or product mix to address competitive trends and to meet changing customer demands. * Staying abreast of new products, sales campaigns, sales and tracking procedures, pricing promotions and pricing discounts of competitors. * Developing and implementing strategies to be successful against competitor efforts within the market area including competitively pricing company products and services while maintaining profitability. * Building technology specific services sales strategies and solutions for each customer opportunity and partnering with the combined Product Sales Specialist Teams to incorporate the solution into the customer account plan. * * Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience. * 7 years of field business to business sales management experience in a commissioned, quota driven environment; or 7 years outside sales experience at the Enterprise (Large) Account level and proven track record of success. * Established sales experience within the wireless, telecom, or high tech industry. * Proven success in managing P&L. * Experience in Technical Sales/Account Management in a Fortune 1000 company * Experienced with leading cross-functional projects required. * Experience with developing and delivering ad-hoc training for sales, including new products and technologies. * Demonstrated track record of building winning teams and implementing sales strategies to achieve company objectives. * Outstanding leadership skills with a focus on aligning business strategies with company's culture and values. * Strong verbal and written communication skills, including experience presenting at the executive-level. * Strong level of commitment to customer satisfaction. * Strong customer relations and negotiation skills required. * Strong ability to lead and guide decision making in business solutions. * Demonstrated high ethical behavior, unquestionable integrity and character. * Valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record. * Preferred:
* MBA degree is highly preferred. * Working knowledge of PBX, Key, Centrex, and VOIP systems. * Working knowledge of technical concepts and terminology in the Network/Data Engineering Field systems to include Ethernet, MPLS and other network services such as LAN, WAN, VPN and wireless 802H applications.
