Posting Job Title Requisition # 115600BR Location United States - New York - New York Area of Interest Marketing Ad Sales Position Type Full Time Posting Job Description The Time Warner Cable Media Sales currently seeks a Director of Research. Below please find a brief description of the essential duties and responsibilities required to function successfully in this position. MAJOR FUNCTION:Manages research development and execution for region. Responsible as Functional Lead of Marketing function for entire span of Ad Sales Region. . Support Regional Leader of Marketing Services for Region with all national/regional and local research initiatives. . Oversee Advertising Sales client and research databases (Strata, Scarborough, Nielsen, etc.) for Region. Assist and oversee Research team in the Region and Sales Management by utilizing research tools and preparing targeted presentations to break new product categories and maximize revenue opportunities. . Oversee Region training and development in application and utilization of research and sales software. . Manage Research team in Region with all qualitative and quantitative analysis. . Assist Regional Leader of Marketing Services with annual research budget and justification thereof. . Oversee Research team in the development of client surveys, customer polls and analyzes information to improve Ad Sales customer products and services throughout the Region. . Oversee development of all qualitative/quantitative sales sheets presentations/packages. . Support Regional Leader of Marketing Services and Product Development Leaders in the enhancement of research applications online. . Oversee integration of research in all product development throughout Region. . Establish protocol for Research team in developing 1:
1 relationships with the Sales Staffs throughout Region and support of all Management initiatives as it relates to research. . Support Regional Leader of Marketing Services with any research expansion as directed by Corporate for Advertising Sales. . Other duties as assigned. SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
. Minimum 5+ years experience in cable advertising sales, and/or research and marketing experience within a sales company, Agency or client side management experience preferred. . Bachelors Degree in Marketing and/or Communications preferred . Strong organizational skills with follow through on details and the ability to effectively manage multiple tasks. . Working knowledge of cable and broadcast advertising research tools, and understanding of local research and ratings methodology preferred. . Analytical skills, mathematical ability and an understanding of marketing strategies. . Detail oriented and precise self-starter who takes initiative. . Working knowledge of multiple media and advertising sales. . Extensive experience with Word, Excel and Power Point or similar software. . Good verbal, written and interpersonal communications. . Ability to instruct and train personnel. . Must be willing to travel.
