SUMMARY Perform G/L functions including month end close, account analysis and reconciliations DUTIES * Analyze actual expenses to forecast during month end close with concentration mainly for R&D and Facilities. * Interact with R&D Directors relative to spending variances. * Prepare monthly expense accruals based on actual to forecast analysis. * Communicate to R&D Directors expenses to roll into the next months forecast. * Attend monthly actual and forecast meeting with Finance Mgr and VP’s of R&D. * Attend weekly R&D staff meetings. * Assist Finance Mgr with headcount and payroll project allocations. Reconcile lotus note project hours reporting to payroll record. * Input forecasts into TM1. Concentration mainly on R&D and Facilities. * Prepare forecast to forecast variance analysis and set up slides for Ops review. * Analyze quarterly capital spending. * Perform quarterly asset impairment analysis for operation departments to review. * Assist in annual budget process. Required Skills Qualifications/Skills/Abilities Minimum Formal Education:
Bachelor degree in Accounting or Finance Experience (type & duration):
3- 5 years Skills:
Strong Microsoft Excel and Word skills. Resourcefulness in resolving questions and problems. Detailed oriented with a focus on meeting time critical deadlines. Ability to work with minimal supervision. Required Experience Qualifications/Skills/Abilities Preferred Formal Education:
Masters in Finance or Accounting preferred with all or part of the CPA exam passed. Skills:
PeopleSoft and TM1 experience a plus. Knowledge of GAAP Accreditation/certifications/licenses:
