About Our Facility-HEALTHSOUTH Rehabilitation Hospital of Toms River is located at the beautiful Jersey Shore. For the past 40 years we have served the New Jersey community offering several dynamic post acute levels of care. Our diversified services include:
92 licensed inpatient rehabilitation beds, 24 licensed special care nursing facility (SCNF) beds, 13 skilled nursing facility (SNF) beds and one outpatient satellite located in Toms River, New Jersey. The 92 licensed inpatient rehabilitation and one outpatient satellites are accredited by The Joint Commission. Job Description-The Certified Nursing Assistant is responsible for:
* Providing direct patient care activities appropriate to training and competency* Assisting RN and nursing leadership in completing tasks that support patient care activities * Working under the supervision of a registered nurse or therapistPOSITION REQUIREMENTS License or Certification:
* CPR certification* CNA required Total Education, Vocational Training and Experience:
* One year experience in inpatient general hospital setting preferredMachines, Equipment Used:
* General office equipment such as telephone, copy machine, fax machine, calculator, computer.Physical Requirements:
* Visual acuity and ability to communicate sufficiently to conduct safe patient care duties* Ability to lift, lower, push, pull, and retrieve objects weighing a minimum of 30 pounds, which includes participating in patient mobility activities.Skills and Abilities:
* Ability to speak, read, write and comprehend English.* Ability to coordinate, analyze, observe, make decisions, and meet deadlines in a detail-oriented manner* Ability to communicate effectively in both writing and verbal arenas as well as via email.* Ability to work independently without supervision.Environmental Conditions:
* Indoor, temperature controlled, smoke-free environment. Occasional outdoor exposure* Exposure or potential exposure to blood and body fluids may be required.* Handicapped accessibility.* May work under stressful circumstances at times.Proficiency or Productivity Standards:
* May be required to work weekdays and/or weekends, evenings and or night shifts if needed to meet deadlines. * May be required to work on religious and/or legal holidays on scheduled days/shifts.* Will be required to work as necessary during disaster situations, i.e. before, during or after a disaster.* May be required to stay after workday to assist after a disaster situation until relief arrives.* Regular attendance and reporting on time to work is a requirement of position.
